Built by Ranchers, Proven on the Ranch

7-L Livestock Equipment was originally founded by Wayne and Colleen Gardiner of Lakeland, Manitoba in 1996. Alongside running their own cow-calf and backgrounding operation, Wayne identified a need for a safer and more efficient way of restraining calves. 

What began as a custom calf chute for his own needs quickly grew into a full manufacturing operation as demand for these chutes increased from fellow ranchers. Wayne also invented the Power Reels to build secure temporary electric fence.  Today, 7-L equipment continues to be innovative with the addition of our new Pasture Pal electric fencing carts.
